"DESTROYING THINGS IS A LOT EASIER THAN MAKING THEM" - SUZANNE COLLINS, HUNGER GAMES |
||
Since its first release in 2008, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, has captured the imagination of fans across the world. Drawing on the imagery of a dystopian world, poised on the brink of war, the story follows a series of young heroes as they become unwilling pawns in a political game that would have them fight to the death. As Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark rise as significant symbols of love and rebellion within their own world, they haven proven just as relentless in capturing the hearts and imaginations of fans across the globe. As tribute, an Exhibition located in the heart of Manhattan has been opened in homage to both the books, and the film franchise. This shrine to the characters and their post-apocalyptic world was created by Event Netwrok, who then partnered with CCS to fabricate the millwork, merchandisers and display cases. Cool custom touches produced by CCS include the artistically brushed bronze plating of the register and merchandiser walls, along with the lighting produced by the vertical florescent accents. |
