This bar top is currently being fabricated for Costera Restaurant, a member of the Cohn Restaurant group, opening soon at 880 Harbor Island Drive, San Diego California. The owners came to us with the dream of signifying the California coast line in their bar top. Our project manager, Roger Montes then ran with that idea, and came up with the idea of cutting a wave pattern into the wood itself, effectivley dividing the solid piece of hickory into two surfaces. The cut was then infused with resin and only the top half was stained in order to electrify the dining surface.
